DNA HOLOGRAPH
I have always been interested in medical visualisation and its ability to give insight into complex, scientific processes. In particular, how holographic technologies are being developed to improve medical communication and understanding. I was inspired by this concept to create a CGI animated piece, depicting a strand of DNA being analysed through holographic projections and screen graphics.

UI SCREENS
I created a series of screen graphics to be displayed on the holotable, to aid and support the narrative of the holograms. For the design of these screens, I wanted them to reflect the dark, moody tone and atmosphere, while being engaging and minimal enough to draw attention to the main sections of the data and sequencing.
DEVELOPMENT / ASSETS
For the design of the holotable, I wanted it to feel quite mechanical and robust. I tried to make this apparent through it’s features of large, practical air vents, its strong metallic frame and the glitching of the holographic projections, which give it a faulty and unstable feeling.
